Strategic Priorities

MCA Strategic Priorities

  1. Fire Preparedness Initiatives that fire harden our community.  In 2026 MCA will launch a Virtual Firefighting Reservoir initiative, so firefighters have water to save our community when City fire hydrants run dry (as the rules of physics indicate will happen during a major urban conflagration).  At the same time we will be researching ambitious initiatives like:  a) heavy-duty water-dropping drones;  b) AI-driven early fire detection sensors;  and  c) community-wide satellite connectivity. Our focus on fire safety in our canyon will be relentless.

  2. Community and Home Security Initiatives that make our canyon community safer and more secure.  If you have an emergency issue you want Gates Security (MCA's security patrol company) to address, please call:  310.454.7741

  3. Sustainability and Neighborhood Beautification Initiatives to maintain and enhance our natural environment.  These will include creating a Mandeville Green designation, recognizing homeowners and families for contributing to the ecological health of our canyon.

  4. Zone Zero Regulations Advocacy.  Working with community groups across California, our goal is to prevent state government from adopting Zone Zero regulations that will inflict devastating environmental, ecological and economic harm on our community.  If our efforts fail we will explore the legal options necessary to protect our unique canyon ecology and the quiet enjoyment of our homes without government overreach.

The MCA is dedicated to working in close harmony with the Upper Mandeville Canyon Association (UMCA) and the Brentwood Hills Homeowners Association (BHHA).  We’re one family, one community, working together to achieve our strategic priorities.
